Welcoming Address,
Woosuk University endeavors to nurture men and women of skill and ability in order to meet the needs of a changing world.
It is currently an era in which people are called upon to live their
lives for the individual, national and, needless to say, world society.
Woosuk University trains skilled men and women who are capable of
contributing to the local society, the nation and to the world and
who possess a global awareness. It is to achieve this goal that Woosuk
University continues to change and develop itself further.
First of all, Woosuk University should teach
its students to think creatively. During the 40 years that
I have been working in the field of education, I came to realize one
very important fact. There is absolutely no inherent difference, superior
or inferior, in the abilities of men. It is by our hard work and efforts
that the deeply rooted prejudice existing in society can be removed.
In doing so, the youths we are educating will be able to make enormous
contributions to the development of the community and the nation.
Second, the entire school staff and faculty
must pool their strength to prepare for the future development of
the school. This university is now prepared to overcome any
crisis in the education environment that the future may bring for,
although we are not the largest school, we possess enormous capability
and latent potential. Woosuk University now has the ability to successfully
compete with other universities.
Third, Woosuk University is making an effort
to contribute to the region, the nation and the world. Our
university is making a substantial effort to make itself and the regional
community a global center. As our university advances in the eyes
of the world, it is also shouldering the development and growth of
the local community. It is our desire to take the role of sending
the youth of our school into the international arena. Each and every
one of the staff and faculty of this school is dedicated to training
our students to have the skills they need to enter into the world.
Ladies and gentleman, I am asking you to make Woosuk University a
place from which you extend your dreams, challenges and future into
the heart of the world. Thank you. |
