■ Department of Physical Education
This department strives to develop individuals highly skilled in athletic studies and physical education through both specialized studies and hands-on, practical experience. Towards this purpose, the department operates a curriculum which aims to develop the body and mind in harmony, and which enables its students to demonstrate all valuable elements of theory in regards to physical education. Students who have graduated from this department have played key roles in the development of both national and local society and have helped make Physical Education a scientific study. The aim of this department is to produce individuals capable of improving the scientific development of the field of Physical Education, to nurture the future leaders of academic and social athletics and to produce educators who can contribute to the enhancement of local and national society and bring honor to Woosuk University.

■ Department of Leisure Sports
The Department of Leisure Sports educates and trains specialized instructors with systematic knowledge and pracitical ability in various leisure activities which are essential to live a healthy life physically, mentally and socially. The department was established in August 2000 to meet the requirements of a generation that found itself with more leisure time than any previous generation. This department teaches the methodology behind health studies and how to help train people's bodies and minds through various sports. The students graduating from this department are qualified to work in leisure sports education, sports organization and management and sports marketing.

■ Department of Taekwondo
The department aims to educate and train skilled athletes of taekwondo who can teach others in this fighting skill, the national martial art of Korea, through the study of its academic value and scientific techniques. The department also tries to produce skilled leaders through the systematic learning of theories and practices, establishing academic systems of Taekwondo, and understand a wide range of techniques for matches and creative lecture skills. The study of Taekwondo Education is focused on specialized instructors with true ability and intelligence. The curriculum consists of detailed courses such as Taekwondo Poomsae theory, Taekwondo Instruction Theory, Taekwondo Competition Theory, Taekwondo Match Operation, Taekwondo Administration, Taekwondo Tactics, Taekwondo Exhibition Theory and Management. After completing these courses, students can work as Taekwondo instructors by achieving a variety of certificates.

■ Department of Security and Service
The department aims to produce skilled people with abilities to protect individuals, families and social organizations from unpredictable dangers and support VIPs at the same time. The department encourages students to experience various sports and physical activities to enhance their for guarding potential, to recognize crime psychology and bodyguard related laws and rules, to understand principles of guarding and to use security equipment. In addition, the department also offers curriculum to improve various knowledge and understanding including language ability, planning and computer skills.

■ Department of Sports Medicine
Interests in sports and health have increased due to an increase in the national income and time for leisure following a period of strong economic growth. Today, sports contribute to the physical, mental and social development of people and perform functions in various health related studies with scientific knowledge of medical fields. The Department of Sports Medicine produces specialists who can perform more effective scientific prevention of injuries and treatment, which can possibly occur during various sports activities to maintain physical strength and health with sports science based on medicine and science. The department offers curriculum for students to learn sports medicine related to health and sports injury systematically through knowledge and practice.

■ Department of Dance
This department tries to produce artists with humanity, creative dancing ablity, knowledge and skills who contribute to the arts of the country and the world. The department makes continuous efforts to develop and expand its facilities and to improve the student-centered curriculum. In addition, the department contributes to the development of local culture and arts through active performances and events. It also educates competitive artists with who can stand on their own in the face of globalization. The Department of Dance is organized to accept various types of dance that are required in this generation and tries to develop pure and innovative art and to help students achieve certificates in the area of dance.
